Feeling like your progress is stalling?
Are you suffering from PTSD? Anxiety? Depression?
Or reoccurring trauma flashbacks?
Then you could be a candidate for EMDR!
What is EMDR?
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing which is an
evidence-based psychotherapy model that allows you to process unresolved trauma
without intense talking or even homework. EMDR has been extensively researched
and proven to be the most effective model for trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and many
other symptoms. It is known for bringing quick and lasting relief of symptoms.
How does EMDR work?
Our brain operates like a filing cabinet. When memories are not stored properly due
to trauma, abuse, and other stressful scenarios, the memories tend to get in the way
of our day-to-day living. They become trapped in our nervous system. EMDR works
by activating both sections of your brain and allows reprocessing to occur by using
bilateral stimulation. This prompts the brain to reprocess memories and file them
away in the proper places, so they are no longer causing more stress or disturbance.
